Königsbacher Heidböhl

VDP. FIRST LAYER®

We had long wished for a first growth from Königsbach. In addition to Kapellenberg and Reiterpfad, we are therefore very happy about the Riesling from Königsbacher Heidböhl. Here we were able to take over a vineyard planted in 1995. The Heidböhl continues the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® Idig to the east towards the Rhine plain. It has a slightly shallower slope to the south and is therefore a little bit cooler than its big brother. The soil consists of a mixture of red sandstone and limestone and gives the wine the typical Königsbach spiciness and stony minerality. However, it is somewhat slimmer than Idig and Ölberg-Hart. A fantastic complement to the cool mineral Gimmeldinger and the more yellow-fruity Ruppertsberger Erste Gewächs in our range.
